X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009) - Production Paint Master Character Maquette.

Original paint master character maquette used in the production of the superhero film 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' (2009), showcasing the early years of James Logan, featuring his rivalry with his brother Victor Creed, his service in the special forces team Weapon X, and his experimentation into the metal-lined mutant Wolverine.

Constructed of solid cast silicone head expertly studio finished and painted. Embellished with metallic paint and butterfly bandages. This hyper-realistic 12 x 8.5 x 11.5 in. FX head was created from a lifecast of actor Reynolds with "Deadpool" character makeup applied. Mounted on a pipe and wooden display base measuring 9 in. tall x 10 in. round. The maquette was used in production to ensure consistency in makeup application and the general look of the character. In this iteration of the character, "Deadpool" has no mouth, as producers thought his wisecracking persona was not appropriate to the "Ultimate Soldier" villainy they assigned to him in the movie. For this movie, the character became known as the "Merc Without a Mouth." Exhibiting minor production handling.
