Important Wallace / Earp related documents include the original lease that Wallace witnessed and notarized for Wyatt Earp, Virgil Earp, James Earp and T.J. Drum for a reservoir to bring water to their Grasshopper Mine in Tombstone. This document is 12 1/2” x 8”, 2 sided. All original signatures by all parties, circa 1881. The original receipt for the County of Cachise, by A. O. Wallace with seal is included (7” x 8 1/2”). There is a 6 1/4” x 7 3/4” bill from Wyatt Earp to the City of Tombstone for water tickets and removing dead dog, payable to Wyatt for $1.50, dated Aug. 1881. Also from the Wallace collection and included is this sharp clean original CDV image of Ed Masterson by W. B. Critchfield, Photographer, Chariton, Iowa. Identified on reverse under photographers stamp. The photo has been laminated as the other paper in the Wallace items. A blueprint copy of the original petition filed Nov. 7th, 1881 directed to Sheriff John Behan, relating to a rit of Habeas Corpus for Wyatt Earp and J. H. Holliday and signed by their attorney Drum.
