(Wright Brothers) 2"X2" piece of the original fabric of Wright Brothers' plane, the "Vin Fiz." This plane made the first U.S. transcontinental flight in 1911, taking off from Sheepshead Bay, Long Island, on September 17th, and landing at Pasadena, California, on November 5th. Calbraith Perry Rodgers was the pilot, covering the 4,321 miles in slightly over 82 hours of flying time, and making 70 landings enroute. The "Vin Fiz" is part of the collection of the National Air and Space Museum. VG. Nicely matted and framed. $400-600
