Uncommon World War I combat report, signed "P. W. Graham," two pages, 8 x 12.5, October 30, 1918. Document headed "Pursuit, Reconnaissance Report," describing an encounter with enemy aircraft, in part: "Mission: Protection Patrol…Number of E. A. seen: 4…Markings on E. A.: Silver fuselage, black wings…other Observations: At 15:35 met three groups of bombers…Crossed line at Vouziers…Just after second group had dropped their bombs they were attacked by 4 Fokkers. We dove from position above third group and went to assistance of bombers." The second page reads, in part: "At 15:45 saw 5 Fokkers and attacked…Fired 280 rounds into one of them. I last saw him going down in a spiral out of control. I was then attacked by 6 Fokkers who drove me away." In fine condition.
