Collection of four original color World War II posters from 1942–1944 (one undated), ranging in size from 11 x 17 to 33 x 5.5. The first is a banner-style poster with patriotic colors advising citizens to “Buy War Bonds” every pay day; the second depicts a mother hen urging her chicks to go under her wings, with “Nest eggs won’t hatch unless you set on them!” and “Hang on to your war bonds,” below the image; the third proposes limited travel by portraying the image of a soldier’s mother, with a quote above, “Won’t you give my boy a chance to get home?”; and the fourth features a G. I. loading a shell into a gun, encouraging citizens to avoid workplace accidents, with “Safety makes ammunition.” In overall fine to otherwise fine condition, with expected storage folds and tack holes to corners, and paper loss to top edge of the central fold, two pieces of toned tape to top edge, and scattered streaks of discoloration to the limit travel poster.
