Collection of four original color World War II posters from 1943–1945, ranging in size from 10 x 14 to 20 x 28. The first shows a Department of Labor wage order declaring that all employees within the production of “Metal, Plastics, Machinery, Instrument and Allied Industries shall be paid at least 40¢ an hour”; the second bears a red, white, and blue torch and a “Victory Loan” banner urging citizens to “Buy your extra bonds—here”; the third depicts a bloody rattlesnake with large fangs, and reads, “Less dangerous than careless talk”; and the fourth, entitled “For a secure future,” features a father holding war bonds in one hand, and his family, farm, truck, and tractor in the other. In overall fine condition, with expected storage folds (partial separations), edge dings, and some toned tape to edges.
