Collection of four original World War II posters from 1943-1944 (one undated), ranging in size from 11 x 17 to 28 x 20. The first depicts a mother hen urging her chicks to go under her wings, with “Nest eggs won’t hatch unless you set on them!” and “Hang on to your war bonds,” below the image; the second shows “An official war message,” encouraging citizens to buy more bonds “through payroll savings”; the third commemorates “Brotherhood Week, February 19th to 28th, 1943,” with a strong message of equality from President Franklin D. Roosevelt; and the fourth features a G. I. loading a shell into a gun, encouraging citizens to avoid workplace accidents, with “Safety makes ammunition.” In overall fine to very good condition, with expected storage folds (partial separations), small edge tears, and toned tape and adhesive remnants to the hen and war bonds posters, with the top right corner missing to the hen.
