World War II era Luger with breech dated 1939 and coded 42 indicating manufacture by Mauser in 9 mm caliber, serial number 9405. The right side of the breech shows Waffen proofs with number 655 and small Nazi Eagle stamp with matching Eagle stampon the right side of barrel. The pistol shows all matching visible serial numbers except clip which is numbered 8580. The pistol shows 50% to 70% thinning and toning blue finish with losses at the high points, gripping areas and muzzle from being carried and used. The grips are worn and the checkering is just fair. The action is good and the bore is good. A very acceptable example of a World War II era Luger with the typical black finished trigger and safety which was a trademarkof those manufactured by Mauser.
