Patriotic color oversized 30.75 x 41.25 salesman's sample of a calendar for January 1946 entitled ‘Welcome Home,’ featuring artwork of American soldiers holding tattered flags and marching through the Newport News Victory Arch below a large image of Uncle Sam and planes flying through clouds overhead. Text above the calendar reads: “This Community Welcomes Its Service Men and Women, The First National Bank.” Printed by the Thos. D. Murphy Co., of Red Oak, Iowa. In fine, folded condition, with some edgewear. An appealing calendar redolent of the Office of War information posters published by the Government Printing Office.
