World War II Walther G41, (ac 43) Code Semi-Automatic Rifle

The G41 series rifle was manufactured on a limited basis during the early war years before being replaced with G/K43 series rifles. The G41 rifle used a barrel mounted, gas trap system originally adopted from the Bang system that trapped muzzle gases to cycle the action. This semi-automatic function of this rifle and larger magazine capacity was highly desirable on the Eastern front. The left side of the receiver is marked "G.41/serial number/ac/43". It has all machined parts, laminated stock and black resin (plastic) handguard. The receiver ring doubles as the rear sight base that has the standard tangent rear sight, marked "1-12", (100-1200 meters), and is fitted with the standard blade front sight. The stock has a double "Eagle 359" proof (very faint) below the sling slot on the left side and the serial number is on the underside. The rifle is complete with a WWII cross-hatched leather sling, cleaning rod and front sight cover. It has all matching visible numbers including the magazine.

Very fine overall with 85% of the blue finish remaining with blue loss on the exposed barrel and both barrel bands, with blue thinning on the bolt carrier, action cover and receiver. The laminated stock is in fine condition with visible proof marks with nice original WWII finish showing handling marks overall with some light pressure dents/small gouges on the sides from field use. The handguard is in very fine condition. Mechanically in excellent condition.
