This is a standard late WWII, milled finish Walther PP pistol that has fixed sights, with the standard Walther Nazi commercial "Eagle/N" proofs on the slide and chamber area of the frame. Additionally this pistol has the late war Nazi "Eagle/ WaA359" Waffenamt proof on the left side of the slide and frame and is accompanied by the original WWII capture papers. The slide has the standard "Walther Banner" followed by the two line factory address and patent information followed by "Mod PP". It is fitted with the original Walther black plastic checkered grips with original Walther marked flat button magazine. This pistol falls within the noted serial number range of nazi marked Walther PP pistols with an estimated number of slightly over 1000 procured, in late WWII. The capture papers lists this pistol by serial number as being authorized for a 1st Lieutenant in the 115th Infantry to return home as war booty in Dec 1945.

Condition:
Excellent with 95% of the original blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear. The frame has that late war purplish tint which was correct for late war Walther pistols. The grips are in excellent condition with clear sharp markings and checkering overall. A very nice late war example of a Nazi proofed Walther PP pistol.
