World War II Nazi G41 "duv-43" Code Semi-Automatic Rifle

This is a nice example of the early G41 rifle manufactured by Berlin-Lubecker Company. These rifles were manufactured late 1942 to early 1943 before all production switched to the G43 series of rifles. This entire series of rifles were used only for a limited time before all production switched to the G/K43 series of rifles. This rifle has the early type 1 all machined receiver, and various components, to include the bolt, bolt carrier, gas cone, early action cover as well as most of the internal parts. The receiver side wall is marked "G41 duv 43/Eagle/214" followed by the serial number "873b". The mismatched numbered trigger guard and refinished pitted box magazine are the stamped wartime versions with the stamped barrel bands and buttplate. The front sight base is number "3617" and cone is number "718." The stock is number "873b" the correct wartime laminated model that is marked on the right side with a double Eagle 214 Waffenamt proof and a single Eagle 214 Waffenamt proof in the pistol grip area, with the matching serial number on the underside of the stock. The rifle is equipped with the correct dark red/brown phenolic resin (plastic) handguard as manufactured in 1941/42 time frame. It has the standard military sights with the blade front sight and tangent rear sight graduated from 1-12 (100-1200 meters). It is complete with an unmarked WWII leather sling, front sight cover and cleaning rod.

Fine as assembled (see above) with 70% of the blue finish overall with light minor pitting on the box magazine. The stock and handguard are both very fine with nice original finish overall with clear, visible stock proofs. The stock is matching as noted while the rest of the parts have mixed numbers. Still an original early WWII Nazi G41 Semi-Automatic rifle.
