World War II Japanese Nagoya Arsenal Type 14 Pistol with Matching Magazine Leather Holster Walnut Display Case Arm Band and Original Paper Documents

This is an excellent late pre-war Type 14 Nambu pistol as manufactured by the Nagoya Arsenal. These early pre-war pistols exhibit excellent manufacturing with beautiful blue parts and hardwood grips. The consignor noted that this was a WWII vet bring-back pistol and that the pistol has all matching parts to include one original magazine and includes an early leather Nambu holster, rare pistol lanyard, box of Japanese Nambu ammunition, Japanese cigarettes, chop-sticks, cloth insignias/arm band, one picture of workers/soldiers in the field, various paper documents, letter and storybook all in Japanese. This beautiful pistol also includes a custom walnut display case that houses the pistol, holster and ammunition. The right side of the upper frame has the Nagoya Arsenal symbol next to the serial number (64979) over the Showa date of 14.7 (July 1939). It has the early small trigger guard, straw colored small parts, and the magazine has a nickel plated body, alloy base, with the matching serial number "979" stamped on the back side of the magazine body.

Very fine with 85% of the blue finish overall with the balance turning a brown patina and slight thinning on the grip straps. The grips are fine with a nice dark brown matching color showing minimal handling marks. The various small parts retain 65% of their straw colors with most color loss on the bolt. The leather holster is fine with nice medium brown color overall, with clear sharp Kana markings inside the flap and nice tight stitching. The various accessories and paper documents are all fine. The display case is in like new. A nice all original vet bring back Type 14 Japanese Nambu pistol.
