This is a very nice example of an original mid-production 1939 dated mauser luger pistol. This series of luger has the all salt blued finish with the checkered walnut grip. The top of the chamber area is dated 1939 with the "42" code markings on the top of the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the double "eagle/635" Waffenamt proofs next to the single spread winged Nazi eagle firing proof which also appears on the right side of the barrel and the left side of the breechblock. Properly marked safety area and extractor. The pistol is fitted with an all blued, unmarked folded steel magazine with the aluminum base that is marked "1939q" over a single "Eagle/63 Waffenamt" proof.
