World War II German G43 "duv" Code Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle with ZF 4 Scope and Mount

This is a mid-WWII production rifle with a rough forged receiver, marked on the left side "eagle/214/2685f/G.43 duv 44" with a single eagle firing proof. It has a rough cast bolt carrier with the cocking knob on the left side and locking latch on the right side, with the stamped sheet metal action cover. It is fitted with the standard barrel that does not have the threaded muzzle and it is fitted with the standard blade front sight and tangent rear sight, marked from 1-12. The rifle is fitted with a ZF 4 scope and proper cast mount. The scope is marked "GW ZF 4 dow/3247", which indicates it was made by the Voigtlander and Sohns Company . The locking lever is marked "lose and fest" and the mount has a single "Eagle/359" proof and a serial number on the end that has been remarked. The scope has a set of reproduction black leather lens caps. The rifle has a smooth laminated stock with fiberglass/resin handguard and cupped sheet metal buttplate with the trap door. Inside the trap is an old post war copy of a field manual and spare firing pin. The rifle has an original sheet metal front sight, cleaning rod leather sling and black painted "awj/K43" marked magazine.

Very fine with 85% of the blue finish overall with wear on top of the action, exposed barrel section and trigger guard bow. The stock and handguard are fine with light handling marks with some heavier gouges on the right side of the buttstock and front forend section. The handguard is good with a small pressure dent on top in front of the rear sight. The scope and mount retain 90% of the blue finish overall with clear markings and the mount number having been remarked. The optics are very hazy/occluded.
