Attractive pair of original World War II-dated production illustrations for the Douglas A-26 Invader, 16.5 x 11 and 17 x 11, produced by the Douglas Aircraft Company based out of Long Beach and El Segundo, California. The earlier diagram, dated February 1942 and numbered “5124088,” depicts a section breakdown of an “A-26” with upper master code numbering sections of the fuselage, nose, tail, nacelles, and wings; and the second illustration consists of a technical breakdown of an “A-26B,” dated February 1944 and numbered “P.I.-5124008,” and features a detailed exploded-view of the aircraft with 85 numbered parts, all of which are itemized on the reverse. In overall fine condition, with central folds, and a neatly trimmed left edge to the 1944 diagram.
