World War II Colt Model 1911A1 Semi Automatic Pistol with Holster
Manufactured in early 1943. The left side of the slide is marked with the two line, two block address/patent marking with the Rampant Colt in the center, "P" on top of the slide in front of the rear sight, and the left side of the frame is marked with a "G.H.D." inspector cartouche above the magazine catch and "P" below it. The "No" style serial number on the right side of the frame as well as "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S.ARMY" markings. Matching numbered slide. Standard low profile sights, checkered slide stop, magazine release, thumb safety, wide spur hammer and arched main spring housing. Blue barrel and magazine marked "C-S" on the bottom of the toe and "S" on top. Fitted with brown plastic checkered grips with re-enforcement rings around the screws. Complete with a "SEARS / 1942" and "US" marked flap holster with lanyard.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 95% original parkerized finish with some high edge wear on the muzzle end and sides of the slide and two small areas on the left side of the slide where there is some finish loss due to a chemical or solvent. The grips are excellent with a small chip on the left panel, light handling marks and sharp checkering. The markings remain crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very good.
