This example was manufactured in 1917. The left side of the slide has the two-block, two-line patent and address marking with the Rampant Colt behind the slide serrations. The right side of the slide is marked "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY". The barrel hood is marked "P/H" and the left side of the lug is stamped with and "S". The left side of the frame is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and with a circled "GHS" cartouche. The right side of the frame is stamped only with the serial number. Fitted with a set of checkered walnut grips with double diamond pattern. With a brown leather dual magazine pouch stamped "U.S./MILWAUKEE SADDLERY CO./1946" and two extra magazines.

Condition:
Fine, 60% of the original blue finish remains with scattered pin prick pitting on the slide and frame. The mainspring housing has a gray patina. The grips are very good with a large gouge on the right grip and some scattered minor marks. Mechanically fine. The magazine pouch is good with stains, scratches and scuffs.
