World War I U.S. Colt Model 1917 Double Action Revolver
Fixed front and notch rear sights, with "COLT D.A. 45" on the left side of the barrel, two line address and patent markings on top and "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside. A "JMG" inspection cartouche is present on the left side of the frame, with the Rampant Colt below it and standard U.S. markings on the butt with a lanyard swivel. Smooth walnut grips.

Condition: Very fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing a mottled brown and gray patina on the grip straps. The balance of the metal has light edge wear, scattered spotting and some handling marks. Grips are fine, with some minor scratches and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
