Made in 1917. Fixed sights, with the two block address/ patent markings and Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide, and "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY" on the right. "GHS" inspected frame, with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the left and the serial number on the right. Equipped with the Colt wide checkered spur hammer, smooth flat main spring housing, serrated slide stop, checkered thumb safety, checkered diamond grips, 2-tone magazine and "P/ H" marked Colt barrel.

Condition: Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing a mixed gray and brown patina on the front strap, more even brown on the back strap and barrel, and scattered handling marks.
