World War I. Two letters from Dorset, England
World War I. Two letters from Dorset, England, Dec. 12, 1914, 16 pp. in all, on "a big training camp at Wood and Wareham for Kitchener's Army...wounded in the different hospitals...wounded Indians in Bournemouth with their own doctors because of their different castes...a large compound at Dorchester guarding German prisoners...." Good eyewitness account of the English home front in World War I. Letter of Aug. 16, 1907 [pre-war], from same soldier as preceding letters, referring to his snapshots taken on board the ship Lucania (perhaps the Lusitania). Two letters written by soldier Fenter in Bordeaux, France, 1918, 2 pp. with two censored envelopes. On imprinted YMCA letterheads. To his mother in New Jersey on his work. Fine.
