Manufactured in late 1916. The left side is engraved with a man standing on the trap line and the right side is engraved with a spread winged eagle with a shield over it's chest clutching two arrows and an olive branch. There is also floral scroll engraving covering most of the receiver along with some decorative shell designs. The barrel shoulders are engraved with a star burst design. There are two white bead sights on the rib, the barrel is choked .029 and the chamber measures 3 inches with an ejector. The bottom flat of the barrel is stamped with an "M" and a "0". Mounted on a nicely figured, Fluer-de-Lis pattern checkered semi-beavertail walnut forearm with ebony forend insert and semi-pistol grip stock with hard rubber grip cap, blank initial shield and a Hawkins red rubber recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 3/4 inches.

Very fine, the barrel retains 90% plus of the original blue finish with some high edge and handling wear along with some scattered minor scratches and dings. The casehardened components retain 20% of their bright original case colors with a smooth gray/brown patina on the balance. The refinished wood is fine with scattered scratches, dings, a couple repaired cracks in the forearm and an added recoil pad. Mechanically excellent.
