World War I Danzig Arsenal Gewehr 98 Bolt Action Rifle with Trench Dust Cover, Extended Magazine and Bayonet

Manufactured in 1916, this Danzig Arsenal rifle is equipped with a sliding dust cover, which consists of a base and guide assembly that attached to the breech of the barrel and a sliding cover that moves with the bolt. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with a bright receiver and a smooth pistol grip stock with a brown leather sling and a smooth buttplate. Also included is a bright steel muzzle protector, marked "67.R.E./4.11." on the flip-up cover, a blue steel extended "trench magazine", marked with a "J" on the back and a "crown/gothic letter" on the right side, and a "00" dated Erfurt bayonet, 26 inches overall with a 20 1/2 inch blade, "4.O.R.1.109." marked guard, ribbed wood grip and metal scabbard.

Very fine as professionally restored. Showing most of the fine blue with mild handling marks overall. Minimal spotting is present on the bolt and receiver. Stock is fine with some dents and small repairs. Mechanically excellent.
