The top of the barrel extension is dated 1918, the toggle is marked "DWM", the right side of the barrel extension has the three Crown over Script proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof and the left side has the four digit serial number that matches the frame. The Imperial Eagle proof is also marked on the top of the barrel and left side of the toggle. The bottom of the barrel is marked with the matching serial number over "8,83". Most small components are marked "53". The safety and extractor are correctly marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN", respectively. 'Straw' colored small components. The sights are a fixed front and notch rear. The backstrap has the stock lug. The mis-matched magazine is nickel plate version with pot metal base numbered to another gun.

Condition: Excellent. The pistol retains 90% plus original blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear, and some thinning on the barrel. The side plate shows rust and a number of minor scratches and there is some minor pitting on the muzzle. Straw colors are bright, original and 80% intact. The grips are excellent. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent.
