This is a late contract pistol manufactured in 1918 that was refurbished for Korea. It is complete with a Colt factory letter showing shipment in November 1918 to the U.S. Ordnance Depot, Bush Terminal Brooklyn NY. The left side of the slide has the standard two line, two block marking with the Rampant Colt in the middle of the markings, with the right side marked "MODEL OF 1911.U.S. ARMY". The right side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" over the serial number, and the left side has the "A.A." rebuild proof from Augusta Arsenal. A single "Eagle Head/S21" proof is stamped above the magazine release button. It is fitted with a checkered slide stop, checkered thumb safety and narrow spur hammer and flat main spring housing. It is also fitted with the WWII brown plastic checkered grips and is complete with two WWII blue magazines.

Very fine as arsenal rebuilt with 99% of the refurbished parkerized finish overall. The grips are excellent with minimal wear. The shipping box and papers are fine with the lid and sides being reinforced with tape.
