Three matte-finish 3.25 x 5.25 postcard photos of noted military officers of the Central Powers in World War I: Archduke Joseph August of Austria, boldly signed in ink and dated 1916; Karl Kuk, boldly signed in ink and dated at Lublin, 1916; Eduard von Bhm-Ermolli, signed on the reverse in pencil; and Georgi Todorov, boldly signed in ink. In overall fine condition.

Archduke Joseph August of Austria (1872-1962) served as a field marshal of the Austro-Hungarian Army and, for a period of about two weeks in 1919, was head of state of Hungary. Karl Kuk (1853-1935) was an Austrian general and during military governor of the Lublin General Government during World War I. Eduard von Bhm-Ermolli (1856-1941) was an Austrian general during World War I who rose to the rank of field marshal, remembered for his command of the Second Army on the Galician front. Bulgarian general Georgi Todorov (1858-1934) was a career officer who fought in the Russo-Turkish War, Serbo-Bulgarian War, Balkan Wars, and First World War.
