Included for your consideration in this lot is a set of World War One era, and postwar promotional paperwork for John Knox Gailey. The lot includes three pieces of paperwork - two Officer Promotion Certificates - The first is for promotion to Second Lieutenant on November the 7th, 1917, the second is for promotion to Captain of Cavalry on September the 22nd, of 1921. Both documents are signed by The Adjutant General, and the Assistant Secretary of War. The third document is an "Officers Qualification Card", and is filled personal information of John Know Gailey. This qualification card dates to 1918. The collection of early ephemera is in fair-good condition overall - one of the promotion certificates shows heavy staining. The promotional certificates measures 14 3/4" x 11 1/2".
