This world globe of the American manufacturer J. Chein & Company, Burlington, NJ, is supported by a meridian ring made of white plastic. The construction is pinned down on an octagonal base. On the octagonal stand, the planets Saturn, Neptune, Uranus, Jupiter, Pluto, Mercury, Venus and Mars are indicated with their respective distance in miles to earth. The world globe is made of lithographed tin, showing the capitals of the countries, other major cities and towns.



The globe is inscribed ‘Made in the U.S.A. by J. Chein & Company, Burlington, NJ’. The areas Europe, North Africa and the Atlantic are browned. In the northern hemisphere are two dents. In the lower area is a scratch ring from turning the globe. The dimensions are 29 cm (height with bar) and 74 cm (circumference).
