<B>1924 World Flight Pilot Lowell H. Smith Signed Photograph,</B></I> 13.5” x 10”. Lieutenant Smith is shown in uniform standing by the World Flight logo. Printed from a negative alongside the image is the text of the poem "American Manhood" by D. Pyper and Edward Unger in which the historical flight is celebrated. Light fading with verso stains, overall very good condition with a bold signature. Lowell Hobart Smith (1892 - 1945) captained the <I>Chicago,</B></I> one of three Douglas World Cruisers that successfully completed the 1924 World Flight.
