TLS, one page, 8 x 9.75, personal letterhead, November 7, 1912. Letter to George S. Johns of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch two days after winning the 1912 presidential election. In full: “Thank you most heartily for your telegram. The Post-Dispatch did splendid work in the campaign and I felt all the way through your own generous support. It was fine.” Central horizontal and vertical mailing fold, one through a single letter of signature, binder dings and slight paper loss to left edge, and some mild toning along folds, otherwise fine condition. Accompanied by an unsigned 7.75 x 9.75 Bachrach portrait.
