In full: “Your letter of September fifteenth makes a strong appeal to me and if it were possible for me to get so far away from my office during these busy and pressing times, you may be sure I would accept it, but it is still entirely impossible for me to give myself the liberty. I feel that I am missing a great pleasure, but I really have no choice in the matter.” Letter is affixed to a slightly larger black scrapbook page. In fine condition, with a uniform shade of toning.
