Partly-printed DS as president, one page, 16.5 x 13, August 18, 1916. President Wilson appoints James H. Walsh as "Postmaster at Leominster, in the County of Worcester, State of Massachusetts." Signed at the conclusion in ink by President Wilson and countersigned by Postmaster General Albert S. Burleson. The gold foil Post Office Department seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. Matted and framed to an overall size of 26 x 23. In very good condition, with scattered light foxing, and irregular staining that affects the faded signature.
