<B>Woodrow Wilson As President Partially Printed Document Signed,</B></I> one page, vellum, 16” x 20”, Washington, D.C., 15.5” x 19”, Washington, D.C., September 13, 1917. Frank H. Schofield is here commissioned a Captain in the U.S. Navy. Countersigned by Secretary of the Navy Josephus Daniels. Engraved with fanciful scene of Neptune and his entourage escorting a semi-nude Columbia over roiling seas. The Wilson signature has faded somewhat, however the document is in excellent condition overall.
