Woodrow Wilson: A Bold and Colorful 1¼" Button Design from His 1916 Campaign. The country was sharply divided over the prospect of America's entry into World War I, and this slogan was employed by those who opposed that engagement. At least publicly, Wilson supported American non-involvement in 1916. However, like FDR several decades later, neither he nor the country would be allowed that luxury. The distinctive design and bold coloration of this scarce variety makes it one of the better Wilson pins. Usually one sees these with the red and blue somewhat faded; this choice example is the strongest specimen we have seen. For strictest accuracy, we note a couple of very minor shallow surface scratches, almost undetectable.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Smal (view shipping information)
