<B>Wood Ibis Audubon Royal Octavo Print.</B></I> Plate number 361 features the Wood Ibis; a large male is shown bending down into a body of water to retrieve food or drink. Four pages of text accompany this print, that present facts and observations made by Audubon. For instance he states that this bird does congregate in flocks, and is never seen alone. If one looks closely in the print, a large flock of the birds can be seen standing behind the solitary one in the center. The colors on this example are deep and saturated, with the binding holes visible on the left edge. Otherwise, a pristine example.
