Lyle Waggoner military style shirt from The New Original Wonder Woman series which first aired on November 7th, 1975. Lyle Waggoner was an American actor, sculptor, presenter, travel trailer salesman and model, known for his work on The Carol Burnett Show from 1967 to 1974 and for playing the role of Steve Trevor and Steve Trevor Jr. on Wonder Woman from 1975 to 1979. In his later career he founded a company, Star Waggons, which rented luxury trailers to studios.

Waggoner was born in Kansas City, Kansas, on April 13, 1935. He began his acting career in the early 1960s, appearing in guest roles on television shows such as The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits. In 1967, he was cast as the announcer and a comic performer on The Carol Burnett Show, where he remained for seven seasons. During his time on the show, he became a household name and was one of the most popular performers on television.

In 1975, Waggoner was cast as Steve Trevor in the television series Wonder Woman. He played the role for four seasons, and his character was a love interest for the title character, Lynda Carter. Waggoner's performance on Wonder Woman was well-received, and he helped to make the show a success.
