Etching by Feyen-Perrin aptly named "Les Melacolies de la Mer" (The Melancholy of the Sea) portraying two women and a dog by the sea. Francois Nicolas Augustin Feyen-Perrin (1826-1888) was a French painter and etcher. A student of Cogniet, we was known for his fine studies of women and seascapes. It is signed Feyen-Perrin on the plate. The text on the sheet reads as follows: "Feyen-Perrin, del. et sculp. A. Cadart, Edit. Imp. Rue Nve. des Mathurins, 58, Paris. In good condition, with foxing and wear on border that can be covered by a mat at the time of framing.
