Distinguished American composer (1905–1986) best known for his songs for the film The Wizard of Oz. Artistic vintage glossy 8 x 10 portrait of Arlen framed by the outline of a grand piano, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “Ethel—I hope ‘ours’ is an everlasting friendship—Sincerely, Harold Arlen.” In very good condition, with moderate overall creases and some irregular ink adhesion to beginning of inscription.
