Incredible and practically impossible-to-find vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Burke as Glinda the Good Witch, signed and inscribed in fountain pen “To Thelma: ‘May your dearest wish come true,’ Billie Burke, Glinda in the Wizard of Oz.” A few light bends and corner tip creases, some light soiling primarily to lower border, and a faint paperclip impression to top edge, otherwise fine condition.
Although Burke lived to be 85 years old and was considered a prolific signer, signed photos of Glinda are curiously almost as mythical as the land of Oz. This is just the third we have offered in 30 years, and the first signed with her character name as well!
