Winchester model 70 Classic rifle .338 Winchester mag caliber, with claw extractor, fully and finely gold inlaid and engrave, select checkered burl walnut stock. End label on box indicated 1888 show gun, special order number 9009, serial #69. The rifle shows fine quality flush gold inlays in scrolls on action. Gold inlaid Winchester logo and custom classic .338 Winchester custom mag at barrel address, gold inlaid bands at muzzle and gold inlaid cobwebs at rear of breech. The bolt and magazine are engine turned. The bolt handle is deluxe blued and matching with gold inlay. The floorplate shows flush gold inlays with scrolls and a raised relief copper inlay of nude Diana the Huntress in high relief surrounded by flush gold inlaid scroll borders. The engraver signed his initials B.J.G. ’87. The stock is fancy fine-line checkered with scroll borders and the grip cap and swivel mounts are gold inlaid to match. The rifle shows no firing or use and is 99% to new in original box with matching serial numbered end-label with full information. A beautiful and important model 70 with a desirable full claw bolt in a great caliber, used as factory exhibition and display gun. From the Robert Petersen

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
