Winchester model 42, .410ga, pump action shotgun, 26” barrel, Simmons type ventilated rib, custom upgraded to pigeon grade, fancy engraved action, select checkered wood custom stocks, serial number “127369”. The gun shows approx. 98-99% plus upgraded royal blue finish, just some minor operation and use since restoration. The stocks show a beautiful light color with fiddleback striping and are nicely checkered and remain in fine condition. The action shows engine turning and honing, the bore is near excellent, and the barrel is marked “modified choke”. The buttstock measures nearly 14-1/2” to the end of the wood, and shows a Winchester hard rubber buttplate. The engraving is good quality and similar to factory style and there is a factory style pigeon engraved in the rear of the magazine. The left rear of the trigger guard is stamped “E. O.” A very pretty .410 with high grade custom work. Est.: $2,500-$5,000
