Winchester model 21 410ga side by side shotgun, 26” barrels, Modified (right), Full Choke (left), select checkered walnut stock, factory ventilated rib, hard rubber buttplate, 14” pull, 2-1/4” drop at heel. 1-9/16” drop at comb. Began final inspection on July 25, 1956, completely final inspection on July 26, 1956. With factory letter and letter which states, “Winchester model 21 Custom Field #31320 was purchased from Martial Fields of Chicago, February 1957 and was taken to Arnold Griebel for engraving. Signed Murray Horwich, dated September 9, 1997.” The shotgun remains in fine to excellent condition showing 95% blue restored at time of engraving. Fine to excellent stocks, tight action, fine bores. The engraving is top quality and shows gold hunting dog and bird on left, landing birds on bottom of frame, and two game birds in field on right surrounded by deep cut scrolls. One of two Griebel engraved model 21 410s known to this cataloger. The other featured as lot number 553 in Little John’s February 2010 sale. Est: $$32,500 - $65,000
