Winchester model 1895, .405 caliber, special order takedown rifle, 24” round barrel, select checkered wood stocks, Lyman receiver sight, serial #64875. The rifle shows 90-95% original blue, just slightly thinning at theedges with some minor scratches, some loss on the operating areas of the action. A few spots on the barrel, but generally crisp and near excellent metal. The stock has been professionally replaced by Roger Kurz ofRoger’s Winchester Restoration Service, and is near perfectly restored and almost undetectable. The rear sight dovetail is filled with a blank and the rifle shows a Lyman sight in the correct dovetail. Themarkings are sharp, action crisp, bore excellent.
