Winchester model 1894 special order rifle, .30-30 caliber, 26” light weight rapid taper “Pencil” barrel, half magazine, takedown frame, standard stocks with hard-rubber shotgun butt. 3-leaf folding rear sight, serial #47142 made about 1896. The barrel shows 90-95% original blue, a small area of pitting at the middle of the barrel address from a thumb print and some slight losses at the muzzle. The takedown lever, magazine, and forend cap show 75-85% blue with a couple of scratches and some beginning erosion. The frame shows 60-70% original blue with some scratches, losses at the takedown collar, normal aging, slight erosion and pinprick pitting. The lever and hammer show 30-50% case hardening, the loading gate shows 50% thinning blue. The markings are sharp, the edges are crisp. The stocks are very good plus with 50-60% varnish, some even wear, minor scratches, normal use. The hard-rubber buttplate is very good plus. The action tight, the bore very good. The barrel shows a radical taper and measures only 7/16” across the outside dimension. A very collectible 94 which is the earliest known lightweight specimen to knowledgeable collectors. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
