: Winchester model 1894 special order rifle, 20" octagon barrel, full magazine, takedown frame, Lyman ladder type receiver sight, checkered deluxe burl walnut stock, crescent butt, .30-30 win caliber, #438804. The barrel and magazine tubeshow 80-90% original blue, thinning on the edges, with some light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The frame shows 75-85% original blue drifting at the highpoints and edges. The takedown collar and forend cap show 50-70% thinning blue.There are some operating scratches on the magazine from takedown. The stocks are good plus, with even wear to the checkering, small scratches, some mars, and generally good to very good with a nice burl-wood grain. The markings are sharp, the bor is near excellent. Deluxe short rifles are rare and we have not verified features through factory letter at the time of cataloging. Est: $2,000 - $4,000
