Winchester model 1892 special order rifle .25-20 caliber, 24" octagon barrel, full magazine, takedown frame, rifle butt, in fine to excellent original condition, #456240. The rifle retains 92-95% of its original bright blue, just slightlytoning, some minor losses at edges, just beginning age. The edges are sharp and crisp, marking excellent. The hammer and lever show 60-70% case hardening. The buttplate shows 30% case hardening drifting to silver. The stocks are near fine withsome minimal aging. The action is tight, the bore is excellent. A strong 9-9.5 on a 1-10 scale. With very little handling and use. Est: $2,000 - $4,000
