Winchester model 1892 lever-action rifle, .38-40 caliber, 24” octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, serial #18543. The barrel and magazine tube show 95-98% original blue, some just slight losses at the edges. The front portion of the barrel ahead of the barrel address is stamped in hand-held stamp Bureau County, which is located in Illinois and is probably a Sheriff or PD gun. The frame shows 90-95% bright original blue, some losses at the top edges, some slight staining and erosion in those areas. The balance of the blue is very inky and bright. The hammer and loading lever show 90-95% case hardening with some vibrant areas. The buttplate shows 75-85% case hardened colors, the forend cap shows 90% thinning blue. The stocks are fine to near excellent with just a couple of minor storage and handling marks. The barrel shows 98% bright blue, the bore is excellent. Would be hard to improve upon the condition of this early 92 made about 1893 with probable law enforcement issue. Est: $4,500 - $6,500

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
