Winchester model 1886 lever-action rifle, .45-90 caliber, 26" round barrel, half-magazine, shotgun butt, 3-leaf folding rear sight with platinum lines, British proofed, serial #139886. The rifle remains in very good plus to near fine originalcondition with 90-95% original blue on barrel, just some slight losses at edges, some minor scratch marks. The frame shows 80-90% original bright blue, losses on the belly of the frame and edges, some scratches, minor modeling, normal age, but still very bright. The stocks are also very good plus with normal handling and use, small scratches, dings, mars, minor imperfections. The belly of the stock behind the tang is stamped "117691" which is some type of registrationnumber. The markings are sharp, the action crisp, the hammer and lever show 75% dulling case hardening. The bore is bright and near excellent. An exceptional '86 in a great caliber. Est: $6,000 - $12,000
