Winchester model 1885 highwall rifle, .32-40 caliber, factory deluxe checkered burl walnut stock, pistol gripped, rifle butt, 28” octagon #3 barrel, blue and case hardened finish, serial #20668. The rifle remains in good to very good condition and show 75-85% toning blue finish on barrel, some lightening at the edges, slight erosion, pinprick pitting just starting. The rearsight dovetail has been filled by a blank and there is a tap hole and screw in the barrel in the area where the rear sight would have rested and is not factory. There is a period non-factory brass and iron sight in the front dovetail and the rifle shows a marble tang sight of a slightly later era. The frame shows 40-60% case hardening drifting to silvery grey with some areas of rainbow colors showing. There is some areas of spotting, erosion, and pinprick pitting. The stocks have been lightly refinished but fit up to the metal well and show a two to three-x grain and good checkering. The action is tight, the bore is near excellent. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
