Winchester model 1876 “Open Top” rifle, .45-75 caliber, 28” octagon barrel, full magazine, rifle butt, in near fine original condition. Left sideplate period inscribed “London Armoury / Ja. Kerr & Co. / 54 KingWilliam St. London”. British proofed, serial #2370. The rifle retains 85-95% original blue on barrel and magazine tube evenly drifting and toning with some losses at the edges, minor erosion, pinprick pitting and normalaging just starting. The edges are crisp, the barrel address is sharp. The barrel retains its original folding express type sight and front sight is in its proper dovetail. The frame shows 75-85% bright and inky originalblue on left side of receiver, some slight losses at the edges, some minor scratches. The right side and top of frame shows 90% plus original bright and inky blue, just slightly thinning and toning with someminimal scratching> The loading gate shows 75% plus original thinning blue. The hammer and loading lever show 65-75% case hardening with some colors visible. The forend cap shows 50% blue beginning to flake. The
